Walk Drawing 2008
Debossed paper and dirt
Walk Drawing is a durational or performative drawing. I walk forwards holding a loop of paper that surrounds me, and spins like a treadmill between my feet and the floor. The piece is finished when the loop of paper rips. This piece was included in the Ginza Art Lab Festival in Tokyo in 2008 (date needs to be double checked against CV) where participants were invited to draw a one-inch line on a map of London representing 1km. The map of London in Tokyo contained no street names. I walked this line inside a loop of paper, and mailed the loop to participants in Japan.
